Trisha K. Espinoza is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey, a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) and has been providing counseling services for over 18 years through both non-profit organizations and for the last 12 years through private practice.

Trisha attended Seton Hall University where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Psychology, her Masters degree in Counseling and her Educational Specialist Degree (EdS) in Mental Health Counseling. Trisha has received extensive training in the dynamics of domestic violence/intimate partner abuse and trauma and has worked with both victims of and those exposed to abuse and trauma.

Trisha is bilingual in English and Spanish and is able to provide counseling services in both languages. As a Christian herself, Trisha is also available to provide counseling services from a Christian perspective, although Trisha provides services to clients from various faiths, cultures and backgrounds.

Trisha is an effective public speaker and has facilitated many workshops, presentations and trainings, as well as experienced in providing supervision to counseling and social work interns and clinicians. Trisha has facilitated a three-part workshop series at Union County College for their Displaced Homemakers Program on the topic of "Wellness". She also works with the non-profit agency, A Partnership For Change, facilitating trainings and presentations on topics regarding domestic violence and providing virtual domestic violence specific counseling. She is available to provide trainings or workshops at local groups, houses of worship or programs in need of a therapist's perspective. 

Trisha has also enjoyed teaching college courses at Union College for two different departments, instructing classes such as Psychology 101, Psychology of Personality and Public Speaking. She has taught both traditional in-person and online courses.

In 2014 Trisha was awarded the "Women of Excellence" Award by Union County Commission on the Status of Women for her work in advocacy of women and was honored at their annual awards dinner.

Trisha is also an active community member providing volunteer services at her local congregation in Elizabeth, NJ, overseeing the English Ministry, Social Media ministry, as well as the Praise and Worship ministry. She has been in leadership roles for the last 20 years. Trisha has taught Bible classes to both audiences of adults and adolescents as well as specialized presentations on issues of importance identified by the community such as Psychology of the Family, Relationship and Sexuality workshops, Parenting workshops, a Grief Support Group and various other topics. She has been invited to present and speak at other local congregations covering topics such as depression, anxiety, identity issues and trauma. 

Trisha is happily married to her husband of 18 years and is a homeschooling mom of four amazing and gifted children. Trisha's passions are many which further serves her effectiveness in the counseling room with clients of all backrounds.
